Appendix 9. Research Note for Criteria A and C & Appendix 10 - Final

Investigation Form

INTRODUCTION

Follow these steps to help you research information for your project. You must do the activity one step at the time.
STEP 1      TASK DEFINITION

  1. Defined Problem/Background

I chose to do this project because the past few days before I had to choose the topic of my Personal Project, my family was talking about one of my cousins who can see spirits. When I thought about it, I realized that I actually know a lot of people who can see spirits. Knowing that, it got into my mind a question that I can't even answer for myself. How should I, as a Christian, think and act about this ability? This question came up to my mind because there are a lot of disagreements between what my religion teaches and what the ability proves (e.g. according to my religion once someone's dead, their soul should go up to heaven, while this ability proves that there are souls living between us and sometimes those souls look like the dead people we know). Having this controversial question in mind, I decided to make it as my Personal Project topic, as knowing the answer to this is of great importance not only for my curiosity but also for my spiritual life.

  1. Goal:

My goal is to increase my understanding about the ethical applications of a specific type of 6th sense, according to a Biblical Christian worldview, and to present that understanding through the media of a creative writing journal.

  1. What is your inquiry question?

a.     What is the definition of 6th sense?
“a power of perception beyond the five senses; intuition” (“Sixth Sense”, Dictionary.com).
“: a power of perception like but not one of the five senses : a keen intuitive power” (“Sixth Sense”, Merriam-Webster).
“a supposed intuitive faculty giving awareness not explicable in terms of normal perception” (“Sixth Sense”, Oxford Dictionaries).

6th sense is another sense out of the 5th sense that cannot be verified upon conscious reasoning like science or even our 5th sense, which is usually why most people think 6th sense is not useful, mysterious, and complicated (Hudson, Matthew).  This information is supported by the same information obtained in the “Sixth Sense - Everyone Has It" article that was written by Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, and “The Sixth Sense” article with this URL: http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/the-sixth-sense.html. Another terminology that can be used to define 6th sense is ESP (Extra Sensory Perception). It is known that everyone was born with 6th sense however as they grow up their 6th sense will slowly fade away, as they are not put in practice because parents teach their kids on using more of their 5th sense rather than their 6th sense so that they can interact with the world (Ekokaf).  This information can also be verified to http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/the-sixth-sense.html, http://www.newagedirectory.com/sixth/howsixth.htm and the Rahasia Super Dahsyat Indra Keenam book that was made by Pamungkas, Wisnawan.

Even so, this sixth sense ability does not always end up like that. Some people when they grow old still can have 6th sense because either they practice it or of a difference in their body (Ekokaf).  This information can also be verified to the Rahasia Super Dahsyat Indra Keenam book.

b.    What are the categories of 6th sense?
c.     What is the uniqueness of each category?
-       Teleporting
-       Telekinesis
-       Telepathy
-       Levitation
-       Clairvoyance
-       Clairsentience
-       Clairaudience
-       Psychometri

o   Abstract Wetensekhaf
o   Relative Abstract Wetensekhaf
o   Absolute Abstract Wetensekhaf????
(Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam)

There are countless of 6th sense categories but some of them include…
-       Clairsentience
Clairsentience is the ability to touch, hear, see, taste and smell more than the normal (AyAnna-Admin).  This information can also be verified to the “Developing Your Sixth Sense” article in this URL: http://www.wingsforthespirit.com/developing-your-psychic-abilities.htm. People with this ability are usually sensitive to energies and emotions around them (Developing Your Sixth Sense).  An example of this ability is when you see “beyond the gross sense organs of the eyes” (Nair, Camella).
-       Clairvoyance/The Third Eye
The ability of clairvoyance is the ability to be aware of situations, objects and/or people through the images present in the mind. “These images can be archetypes, colors and still frames, as well as animations. They can be anything; remaining a few seconds or much longer. Initially it may be easiest to see them with your eyes closed” (AyAnna-Admin). All of this information can be verified to an article called “Extrasensory Perception” that was written by Alcock, James E. in the World Book Encyclopedia page 458.
-       Clairaudience
The ability to hear beyond the ability of the ears. The ability to hear subtle voices (AyAnna-Admin).  This information can also be verified to the Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam book by Ekokaf.
-       Telepathy
The ability to receive information from another organism that is from a long distance without the use of any technologies (such as cell phone) or help from any other thing (AyAnna-Admin).  This information can also be verified to the Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam book by Ekokaf.
-       Precognition
The ability to see the future through flashing images that enters the mind when awake, through sudden vision, hallucination, or even through a dream (AyAnna-Admin).  This information can also be verified to the Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam book by Ekokaf.
-       Telekinesis/Psychokinesis
“The ability to move things with the power of the mind. Telekinesis or Psychokinesis is about the movement of energy from faster moving frequency to the physical level. Telekinesis or Psychokinesis (PK) also refers to moving objects from one place to another without using physical contact. It also means re-shaping of objects using the mind's energies, such as bending a spoon, or key, by just holding it and focusing. The term 'Psychokinesis' comes from the Greek words psyche meaning life or soul and kineisis meaning to move” (AyAnna-Admin).  Again, this information can be verified to the Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam book by Ekokaf.

d.    How does the chosen ability affect the lives of the people having it?
From the interviews I did with Sari, Angela and Anonymous, I found out that the most frequent spirit that they see has a white appearance, human outline, opaque and flying. This information is also supported by the research I did on this particular source: Insert Investigasi.
According to both Sari, Angela and Anonymous, their ability mostly affect their spiritual life by being more dependent to God for the reason that they know and experienced of when they say God’s name, the spirits they see will stay afar from them. They said that the ability probably only affects one aspect in their daily lives and that is by enabling them to see different/more things than what other people usually can see. This result/consequence of the ability they have sometimes bothers them because those spirits sometimes look scary and they can be anywhere around them, as they don’t have any manners like we do, so sometimes those spirits can surprise and make the people who have the ability feel uncomfortable. Even so, Angela Sari and Anonymous claimed that after awhile they were able to get used to it.
e.     How are the people having the abilities different from the ones that don’t?
In general, the people who really do have this specific ability of 6th sense feel different from the others & are also quite secretive about their ability. They can be uncomfortable when asked about their ability. The other characteristics are really subjective to the person’s surrounding and attitude on dealing with it (some can be depressed, some might need to be accompanied all the time (scared when being alone), some can have sleeping disorders, behavioral problems, etc.) (The Sixth Sense). This information is also supported by the information obtained from the article that Rosen, Dennis wrote titled “A Ghost in the House”, Hudson, Matthew in his article called “Your Sixth Sense” and Jackson, Kate in her article titled “My Kids See Dead People”.
f.      How can some people have it?
Some people may have this ability because they practiced it, did something or have a difference in their body. Some of the ways of having this ability include the opening of chakra (the chakra of the third eye/ajna), and brain development that is more than the normal (Ortega, Javier). This information is also supported with Ekokaf’s book called Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam. Some other ways people have this ability are by using occult methods, doing yoga and by having a well functioning pineal gland (because in the nowadays the pineal gland that is located in the center of our brain is usually not functioning really well, as a scientific research found out that pineal gland is sensitive to the substance of sodium fluoride, which in the nowadays is a common substance in our food & drinks (e.g. in coke, pepsi, water supply)) that can allow people to adjust their frequencies (admin).  This information is also supported by the information obtained in the “Occult Power in the Brain” article in this URL: http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Brain.html and also the information obtained in Camella Nair’s eBook called Prenatal Kriya Yoga: Wisdom in Pregnancy and Motherhood.
Evaluate your sources!  (The Evaluation should be done per-topic research, not per-resource and draft should be posted on the journal)

a.     How the information suited to the project? (Coverage)
Does the information help me respond to the inquiry question?
Does the information belong to my topic?
Will the information help me to develop my project product?
Does the information connect clearly with the area of interaction or aspects of it?
The information obtained helps me respond to my inquiry question and it belongs to my topic because it answers the sub questions of my first main question, which is a part of my big inquiry question. The information will help me to develop my project product because it will help me understand and know on what to write in my product, which is a creative writing in a journal form later on. The information connects clearly with my AOI because this part of the research can be said as the Awareness Understanding step of the Inquiry cycle, as it is obvious that this part of research is exploring about the social issue of 6th sense.
B.     Is the information source reliable (Authority)?  Where does the information come from?
The information is reliable because all the websites, film and books, encyclopedia used for this research are copyrighted. Three of the websites I used though (http://www.ghosttheory.com/2010/06/21/kids-who-see-ghosts-author-talks-psychology-paranormal, http://www.newagedirectory.com/sixth/howsixth.htm & http://www.wingsforthespirit.com/developing-your-psychic-abilities.htm) are not copyrighted but I know that this website is reliable because this website is made by organizations.
Besides, the information obtained from those sources can be verified to other copyrighted source, which means their information is reliable. The people I interviewed too are reliable sources because they are the ones who have the chosen type of sixth sense and I know that they do have the ability because I have previously researched on the characteristics of a psychic (person who has the ability of sixth sense) and they all have most of those characteristics.
C.     Is the information accurate? Can the information be verified in another source?
The information that is labeled as certain is accurate because it can be verified upon another source.
-       Some of the information in Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam source can be verified to these other sources: Rahasia Super Dahsyat Indra Keenam, and http://www.newagedirectory.com/sixth/howsixth.htm and http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/the-sixth-sense.html
-       Some of the information in Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam source can only be verified to the Rahasia Super Dahsyat Indra Keenam book
-       Some of the other information obtained from http://lightgrid.ning.com/group/sentience/forum/topics/variances-of-beyond-sentience?xg_source=activity can also be verified to this other source: Alcock, James E.’s “Extrasensory Perception” article in the World Book
-       Some other information from http://lightgrid.ning.com/group/sentience/forum/topics/variances-of-beyond-sentience?xg_source=activity can also be verified to Ekokaf’s Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam book.
-       Angela Sari can be verified to Anonymous
-       http://www.ghosttheory.com/2010/06/21/kids-who-see-ghosts-author-talks-psychology-paranormal can be verified to these sources: Dahsyatnya Indra Keenam
D.    Is the information up-to-date? (Currency)  Is the information current or still valuable if it is older?
Not every source is published in the 2012. There are some sources that are published in the 1999, 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2011. However, the information obtained from those sources can be verified upon another source, which proves that the information is still valuable.
E.     Is the information objective/not biased? (Objectivity)
The information is not biased proven from its ability to be verified upon another source.
F.     What information do I still need?
-
G.    What new questions does my research bring?
How is this issue seen in the Christianity perspective? How can I use this information to make a creative writing journal?

Criterion D.  Application of Information
Students should transfer and apply information to make decisions, create solutions and develop understandings in connection with the project’s goal.
(Note: Please include reference/in-text citation)

How is this information useful throughout the project to achieve the goal for:
1.     Specifications of the product/outcomes:
One of my design specifications is to include all the information I got from my research (the answers to all of my sub questions), and by having this information then I can achieve this specific design specification.

2.     The techniques chosen in different stages:
Design: By knowing this information now, it will help me know on which place is this information best suited in in the flow of the story in the final product later on
    Plan: -
Create: This information will help me to know on what to put in my final product, as my final product has to include all the answers to my sub questions
Evaluate/Testing Method: This information will help me to improve my understanding and score in my post test that will judge the achievement of my goal

Criterion A.  Process Journal
Students should demonstrate information literacy, thinking and reflection.

o   What is the background belief of Christianity?
“We Believe:
o   In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
o   In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
o   That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
o   That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
o   That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
o   In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
o   Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
o   In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
o   In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
o   In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
o   Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
o   In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
o   In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
o   In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked” (“Church of God - GBI Danau Bogor Raya”).
This information is able to be verified to the “Pengajaran Dasar GBI” article in this URL: http://www.apb.or.id/?page_id=33
That Christianity is a united body in which we will never experience a certain situation alone (Cox, Brian).
-       Believes in one God that is omnipresent, powerful, perfect, creator of everything, graceful
-       Jesus was born from a human woman named Mary
-       That the Bible is the Words of Truth and that it should always be referred to/be the basis of every decision made in our lives (“Christianity – General”).
The same information can also be obtained from the “The basics of Christian beliefs” article in this URL: http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/christianity/beliefs/basics_1.shtml.
o   What is 6th sense in the perspective of Christianity?
It is one of the gifts from the Holy Spirit. However, if the ability is given after a teaching and learning process that exclude the use of Bible, the ability is given from Satan, and if the ability gives anxiety to the person, it is known that the ability is a gift from Satan.
When it is a gift from the Holy Spirit, it goes along with the gift of knowing/defining the spirit seen (Kohar, Benny). The same information can also be obtained from a different source who is a priest named Freddy Zakharia.
When it is a gift from God, it goes along/doesn’t conflicted the Bible. Even so, it would be preferable to differentiate sixth sense from the gift of God (called the words of knowledge, discernment, etc.) because the unwanted impression the word sixth sense brings (Cox, Brian).

“Now to each once the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines”(New International Version, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11). This example is given by both Pdt. Freddy Zakharia and Pdt. Benny Kohar.

o   What is the biblical explanation of how some people can have the specific type of 6th sense?
If it is given from the HS:
It is given from the Holy Spirit as a personal gift to humankind.

If it is given from Satan:
It can be an inheritance from their ancestor or learnt from
(Kohar, Benny)

The same information can also be obtained from a different source who is a priest named Freddy Zakharia.

o   How does Christianity act towards the people who have the ability?
o   How does the Bible according to the Christianity perspective view the people who have this ability? Is it biblically allowed for people to have this ability or not?
Christianity is accepting towards the people who have this gift. Even if possible, this religion wants this gift to be able to be channeled to ministries. They encourage people who have this gift to go deeper into their gift that came from the Holy Spirit. (Kohar, Benny)  This information is supported with another source who is a priest named Freddy Zakharia.
o   Is there any example of this ability being shown in the Bible? If yes, where and what impression/understanding does it give or leave to the reader?
Acts 10:1-8 is one of the examples. These verses talk about the time when Cornelius saw the angel of God who then sent a message to him.
In these verses, it is shown that Cornelius, the man who was devoted to God, used this particular gift from God. From that, we can conclude that the Bible, the Words of God is accepting and also encouraging of this type of sixth sense (New International Version, Acts 10:1-8).
o   How should outsiders (people who don’t have the ability) who are Christians view and act towards the people who have the ability?
Check if the gift is truly from God. Check with other Christians and the Bible. If the ability is truly from God, we have to see it as a gift from the almighty One; therefore we should respect it and encourage the ones who have the ability (Cox, Brian).  The same information can also be obtained from other sources and they are Benny Kohar and Freddy Zakharia.
Evaluate your sources!  (The Evaluation should be done per-topic research, not per-resource and draft should be posted on the journal)

b.    How the information suited to the project? (Coverage)
Does the information help me respond to the inquiry question?
Does the information belong to my topic?
Will the information help me to develop my project product?
Does the information connect clearly with the area of interaction or aspects of it?
Yes it does respond to my inquiry question and is related to my topic because the information obtained answers the sub questions of one of the three main questions I have, which are actually parts of my inquiry question. The information will also help me develop my project product, a creative writing journal, as it helps me understand and know on what to write in the product later. The information connects clearly with my AOI because it is clear that this research is a part of the reflection step in the inquiry cycle, as here I am discussing about the social issue of 6th sense in the perspective/point of view of Christianity Bethel.
B.     Is the information source reliable (Authority)?  Where does the information come from?
The information I got from the church’s websites is reliable because those websites are official from the church itself. The information I got from the priest named Benny Kohar is also reliable, as he is the priest and also the representative of pastors (Wakil Gembala Sidang) of Gereja Bethel Indonesia Danau Bogor Raya. The Bible is a reliable source because it is copyrighted and it is the book of Truth. It never really changes from time to time. Mr. Brian Cox is a reliable source because he clearly is a person who has a strong basis in Christianity. Pdt. Freddy Zakharia is also a reliable source because he is a priest of a Christian church called Gereja Bethel Indonesia Centro City. The bbc.co.uk and abc.net.au websites are reliable too because they are copyrighted.

C.     Is the information accurate? Can the information be verified in another source?
Yes, the information I got from the church’s websites is accurate because they can be verified to each other. The information I got from the priest is also accurate because some of the information can be verified to the Bible and some other can be verified to these other sources: Mr. Brian Cox and Pdt. Freddy Zakharia. The information I got from abc.net.au is also accurate because it can be verified to the bbc.co.uk website.

D.    Is the information up-to-date? (Currency)  Is the information current or still valuable if it is older?
Even though both of the church’s websites have unknown dates of when they are published, I know that the information is up-to-date because the websites themselves are official from the church and the association of Bethel, which of course if they are official, these websites must be up-to-date. Anyway, the information obtained from those websites doesn’t need to be currently updated because the information shouldn’t have had major changes throughout time, as the information is about the background belief of Christianity. The information I got from my interviews with the priests (Pdt. Benny Kohar and Pdt. Freddy Zakharia) and Mr. Brian is also current of course because I just did the interview recently. The information I got from the Bible is valuable because even though the Bible is published in the year 2001, the information in the Bible is always the same. The information I got from the bbc.co.uk website is not really up-to-date because it is last updated in the year 2009 however the information is still valuable because it is can be verified with the information I got from the abc.net.au website that is last updated in 2012.
E.     Is the information objective/not biased? (Objectivity)
The information obtained is proven not biased because it can be verified to another source.
F.     What information do I still need?
-
G.    What new questions does my research bring?
How can I include all the information I’ve obtained into a creative writing journal?

Criterion D.  Application of Information
Students should transfer and apply information to make decisions, create solutions and develop understandings in connection with the project’s goal.
(Note: Please include reference/in-text citation)

How is this information useful throughout the project to achieve the goal for:
  1. Specifications of the product/outcomes:
One of my design specifications is to include all the information I got from my research (the answers to all of my sub questions), and by having this information then I can achieve this specific design specification.
-       That the type of sixth sense that sees the spirit can be a gift from the Holy Spirit or from Satan
-       A gift from the Holy Spirit must never conflicted the Bible and always goes along with another gift of being able to define the spirit seen
-       If the gift is given from the Holy Spirit, it is given from the Holy Spirit as a personal gift to humankind.
-       If it is given from Satan, it can be an inheritance from their ancestor or learnt from personally
-       Christianity accepts and encourage people who have this ability to use it for ministries (e.g. at times when exorcism are done)
-       Acts 10:1-8 à example of when the chosen type of 6th sense is discussed in the Bible
-       People who have this ability should be encouraged by a supportive surroundings so that they will use their ability in the right way (Zakharia, Freddy), (Cox, Brian) & (Kohar, Benny)

Research Topic 3/ How am I going to present the data I got from the research through the media of journal?

A journal can be a periodical of a specific field, daily periodical, a daily record of transactions, or a personal daily record of experiences, occurrences, ideas/thoughts, observations or reflection (“Journal”, Oxford Learner’s Pocket Dictionary).  The same definition can be found in the Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com sites.

Some types of personal journal obtained from the “Types of Journals and Journal Writing” article on the web:
-   Personal writing journal
-   Creative writing journal
“A creative writing journal is a great way to record those short (or long) stories, poems, musical lyrics and/or drawings that are just waiting to escape your subconscious mind and come alive on paper” (“Types of Journals and Journal Writing”).  The same information can be obtained from a different source who is an English teacher in SPHSC named Terri Davis.
-   Memory book or journal
-   Gratitude journal
-   Prayer journal
-   Family journal
-   Friendship journal
-   Scrapbook
-   Sketchbook
-   Travel journal
-   Recipe journal

Specifications of a qualified creative writing journal:
-       Shows a progression of time through the dates
-       Follows the plotline
-       Shows a progression of understanding
-       Grammar, spelling, flow of one thought to the other/transition, and sentence structure that is still understandable or that don’t hinder the message of the sentence
-       Interesting flow of story (Davis, Terri).  The same information can be found in the “Short Stories: 10 Tips for Creative Writers” article that was made by Jerz, Dennis and Kennedy, Kathy.

A creative writing journal does not have a rigid structure like an informative essay. However, each entry should be dated
(Davis, Terri).  This information is supported with the same information obtained in the “How to Improve Your Writing” article.

Skills needed:
-       Writing (expressing thoughts into writings, having transitions over one thought to another, etc.)
-       Grammar
-       Spelling
-       Creative writing (making the story interesting for people to read, using the plotline, etc.) (Davis, Terri).  This information can be verified to the “How to Improve Your Writing” article.

Software for me to use:
-       Pages (for Mac)
-       Microsoft Word
-       Microsoft Publisher
Even so, the software used must be the most comfortable software for the author to use, and that will be Microsoft Word for me (Davis, Terri).  The information obtained from this source can be verified with the “How to Improve Your Writing” article.

Evaluate your sources!  (The Evaluation should be done per-topic research, not per-resource and draft should be posted on the journal)

c.     How the information suited to the project? (Coverage)
Does the information help me respond to the inquiry question?
Does the information belong to my topic?
Will the information help me to develop my project product?
Does the information connect clearly with the area of interaction or aspects of it?
The information helps me respond the inquiry question and it belongs to my topic, as it answers the sub questions of one of the three main questions taken from my inquiry question. The information will definitely help me develop my project product because it will help me determine the specifications and steps on how to make a qualified journal. The information connects clearly with my AOI because it is clear that this research is preparing myself to take the action step in the inquiry cycle, as I am trying to find out how to present the behavior and ethics Christianity Bethel gives towards the social issue of 6th sense.
B.     Is the information source reliable (Authority)?  Where does the information come from?
The information is reliable because it comes from a well-known dictionary (both in print form and Internet) that is copyrighted and the information obtained from them. The information obtained from the scribetime.net website is also reliable because the website is copyrighted. The information obtained from Ms. Terri Davis is reliable because she is an English teacher in SPH Sentul City teaching English HL class for grade 8, 9, and 10. The jerz.setonhill.edu website is a reliable source because it is an educational website known from the “.edu” at the end of the website address. The Mahalo.com website is reliable because it is copyrighted.

C.     Is the information accurate? Can the information be verified in another source?
The information is accurate, as all the information obtained can be verified to another source. The information I got from this website: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/journal can be verified to this sources: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/journal?s=t and Oxford Learner's Pocket Dictionary. The information I got from this website: http://www.scribetime.net/types-of-journals-and-journal-writing/ can be verified to this source: Terri Davis, an English teacher from SPH Sentul City. Some other information I got from Ms. Terri Davis can also be verified to this source: http://jerz.setonhill.edu/writing/creative1/shortstory/ and http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-improve-your-writing/.

D.    Is the information up-to-date? (Currency)  Is the information current or still valuable if it is older?
The information is still current. Almost all of the sources I used are published or said (for interview) in 2012. Even though the print dictionary I used is not current, published in 1995, the information is still valuable and correct proven from its ability to be verified to other sources that are current (Dictionary.com & Merriam-webster.com). The jerz.setonhill.edu website is published in the 2011 but the information is still valuable proven from its ability to be verified to another source that is “published” in 2012 (the interview with Ms. Terri Davis). The scribetime.net website has a unknown date of publication but I know that the information is still valuable because it can be verified to another source that is current (interview with Ms. Terri Davis).
E.     Is the information objective/not biased? (Objectivity)
The information is objective because it can be verified to another source and the information obtained is the same, which means that there are no opinions or personal feelings involved in the production of the information.
F.     What information do I still need?
-
G.    What new questions does my research bring?
-

Criterion D.  Application of Information
Students should transfer and apply information to make decisions, create solutions and develop understandings in connection with the project’s goal.
(Note: Please include reference/in-text citation)

How is this information useful throughout the project to achieve the goal for:
  1. Specifications of the product/outcomes:
Adds to my original design specifications:
a.     Has to have a clear plotline
b.     Shows a progression/development of time through the dates labelled in each entry
c.     Shows a progression of understanding/thoughts and emotions
d.     Understandable (Grammar, spelling, flow of one thought to the other/transition, and sentence structure that don’t hinder the message of the sentence)
Proof:
“You’re going to have to have a progression of time…and you would indicate that by dates of the entry in the journal. You’re going to want to follow the plotline of a creative writing story…You will want to show the progression of understanding of whatever the conflict is which for you is the answering this question of sixth sense. That’s the most basic in terms of what is necessary; of course you’ll have to look at grammar, sentence structure, spelling and thoughts flowing cohesively and things like that.” (Davis, Terri)

  1. The techniques chosen in different stages:
Design: This information will help me choose the best design I made because this information help sets expectations/specifications for a qualified creative writing journal, my final product
Plan: By knowing the expectations of a qualified creative writing journal, it will help me manage my time, materials/tools, and skills needed on each step to achieve those expectations.
Create: It will help me to know on what software to use when creating the final product, skills needed to create the product, and expectation for the final product.
Evaluate/Testing Method: It will help me check whether my final product meets the expectation of a qualified creative writing journal or not.
