1.
Through
the research I did I understand that there are a lot of types under the broad
sixth sense ability. Some of these types though are telekinesis where objects
can be moved without any physical movements made, telepathy where people that
who are far apart can communicate without the help of any devices,
clairaudience where people can hear beyond what the normal ears can hear/can
hear the subtle voices, clairsentience where people can sense (touch, hear,
see, taste, smell) what the normal senses cannot, and clairvoyance where people
can see images of things that are of a distance in the form of dreams, sudden
vision when awake and more in the mind.
2.
The
people who actually have sixth sense usually feel different about themselves
and also secretive about their ability.
3.
People
have their own perception about sixth sense however usually people think more
to the negative side. However sixth sense is actually a blessing that is given
from the Holy Spirit to human beings. Even though sixth sense can be considered
as a blessing, there is another sixth sense that can be obtained from Satan.
This sixth sense that is obtained from Satan can only be achieved by learning the
ability without the use of Bible. The sixth sense that is offered by the Holy
Spirit and Satan is of course different. The difference is that if God gives
the gift, it comes along with the ability of differentiating/defining the
spirits (knowing what the spirit seen is) however if Satan is the one who gives
the gift, it does not goes along with anything else.
4.
The
positive would be that they could be witnesses to more of God’s creations
however the negatives would be of the fear that they should overcome in the
beginning and also of fact that they are different from the others which they
should accept.
5.
It
really depends on the person. The people with the ability of seeing spirits
that I interviewed are all Christians and from those interviews I can conclude
that Christians usually use that ability as something to help them grow in God
more because they can be witnessing what God calls as “devils” in the book of
Bible, however some other Christians make more advantage of this ability by
using it for ministries (e.g. when doing exorcisms).
6.
Through
the research I did, it says that everybody actually has the ability to see
spirits from when they are young. However because parents don’t develop this
ability, instead they develop more on our 5th senses so that we can
interact with the world around, our 6th sense slowly fades away.
Even so, as I said before, there are always chances in which we can get the
specific type of 6th sense of seeing spirits when we are older. The
ways of getting it in the older age are by getting it from God (being a
faithful servant and this ability will be given to you as a gift), or by doing
it the wrong way which is by learning it without the use of Bible.
7.
The
Bible didn’t specifically said “sixth sense” however the Bible does speak of
sixth sense in other words which are discernment, words of knowledge, gift from
God, etc. In Acts 10:1-8, it talks about Cornelius who used the ability of
sixth sense (seeing spirits/clairsentience) to see the angel of God and do what
He had instructed. In these verses I can learn that the Bible is actually
accepting and encouraging of this type of sixth sense (if it is truly from God
and is use for God only).
8.
The
sixth sense is known as a negative ability in general however in the biblical
understanding, it is a gift that is given from God that has to be respected.
9.
The
ability to see the spirit can be a blessing or can be a gift from the Satan as
explained above.
